About the Mattamy National Cycling Centre

Background

The Mattamy National Cycling Centre is the only velodrome of its kind in Canada, and only the second in North America that meets top international standards. It serves as both a community recreation facility and a venue for provincial, national and international events. The Centre is being managed by experienced staff to ensure that it is a leading event facility that will attract significant sports tourism activity to Milton.

Since opening its doors to the public in January 2015, the Mattamy National Cycling Centre has experienced significant utilization by novice, experienced and high performance track cyclists as well as Milton residents who have taken advantage of numerous opportunities to get active and enjoy the multi-purpose recreation facility.

Mission

The Mattamy National Cycling Centre, working in close harmony with Cycling Canada, the Ontario Cycling Association and the Milton Cycling Academy, provided a world-class cycling venue for the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games and is committed to continuing to meet the needs for cycling and sporting enthusiasts for years to come.
