News Release-

Cycling Canada will host UCI Track Cycling World Cup events at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario for three consecutive years from 2017 - 2019. The events will feature more than 300 of the top track cyclists competing at the world-class track cycling facility.

“Milton is thrilled to host UCI Track Cycling World Cup events in partnership with Cycling Canada,” said Milton Mayor Gord Krantz. “The Mattamy National Cycling Centre is home to Canadian cycling and a hub for high-performance sport in our community.”

The UCI Track Cycling World Cup builds on the strong interest in cycling developed through the Pan Am/Parapan Am Games where the track events were sold out each night. The event will feature five competition sessions over three days. This will be the first major stand-alone international competition held at the facility.

“Cycling Canada is excited to work with the Town of Milton to host the TISSOT UCI Track World Cup over the next three years. This event is one of only four in the world every year and for the UCI to trust both Cycling Canada and Milton shows great vision on their part and demonstrates their understanding of the quality of both of our entities,” commented Pierre Lafontaine, CEO of Cycling Canada.

The UCI Track Cycling World Cup will be in Milton from December 1 - 3, 2017. Event details and ticket information will be announced later this year. For more information about the Mattamy National Cycling Centre, visit
